TabPilot to manage OS X devices in TabPilot MDM for Schools

February 3, 2016 (Calhoun, GA) — Today, TabPilot announced the addition of support for OS X devices to their mobile device management system for schools. The system currently supports Android and iOS.

TabPilot has been running internal beta tests of core OS X MDM features such as DEP enrollment, inventory, and app distribution and will open up the beta for public testing in March. They are currently accepting requests from schools that wish to participate. In exchange for feedback and ideas for new features, beta testers will receive free OS X management licenses when the final product launches later in 2016.

“TabPilot was designed from the beginning to meet the specific mobile device management needs of schools, which can vary quite a bit from the corporate enterprise needs most other MDMs were designed for,” said Jarrett Volzer, founder and CEO of TabPilot. “By working closely with our school beta test partners, we hope to maintain that school-specific focus as we expand the OS X management features of TabPilot.”
